4-6 apples (5 C.) peeled and sliced
or 3-4 C. chopped rhubarb
1/2 C. raisins (opt.)
2 T. spelt flour – put on the bottom of the dish
Mix the following together and then pour over the apples:
2 T. water
2 T. maple syrup
2 t. vanilla
1 t. lemon juice
1 t. cinnamon – sprinkle over apples
————separate bowl———————————-
1/2 C. organic butter – melted
1 egg
1/3 C. maple syrup melted with the butter
1 t. vanilla
2 T. water or rice milk
————mix in the following———————————
1 1/2 C. spelt flour (whole or white or 1/2 & 1/2)
1/2 t. sea salt
1/4 t. stevia or 3 T. maple sugar
Fill a large pie plate or 8×8 baking dish 2/3 full with apple mixture. Mix the wet and dry ingredients together and pour over the apples. Bake at 350º for 45 minutes and cover with tin foil for the last 15 minutes.
