MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Healthy Journey is to assist everyone to achieve ultimate health and the healthiest body possible. The goal of Healthy Journey is to encourage each person to take more responsibility for his or her own health and wellness and to be more independent of health care professionals.
THE ORIGIN OF HEALTHY JOURNEY
In September 1997, Janis M. Betz, R.N., B.S.N. founded Healthy Journey (incorporated in 2003) out of her burden to help people become well from illnesses related to diet and living habit choices.
Janis M. Betz received her Nursing diploma from the Reading Hospital School of Nursing in 1984. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1991 at Kutztown University. She has studied nutrition and lifestyle and its affects on health for many years. Janis has written two books, The Journey to Ultimate Health and Your Healthy Journey. Janis is currently working on 2 more books. She is also a workshop and seminar speaker.
HEALTH is a CHOICE!
What you choose to put into your mouth today and the living habits you choose today will positively or negatively affect your health tomorrow. In other words, you cannot expect to be healthy for very long when you eat junk food and lay around day in and day out.
Bernard Jensen, D.C., Ph.D., Nutritionist says, “Disease and poor health are more often made than born. People choose by default to trek down the path of ill health, a path that leads to ever-more chronic diseases. This path is broad and easy, a path of ignorance, ease, foolishness, and neglect.”

DIRECTIONS to ULTIMATE HEALTH
I follow and encourage my clients to follow these directions to ULTIMATE HEALTH.
Unlimited raw vegetation intake.
Limit cooked food intake.
Trim protein intake.
Increase fiber for a healthy colon.
Minimize cell damage by taking antioxidants (vit. C).
Abundant pure water intake (wt ¸ 2 = oz/day).
Trim fat intake.
Eliminate refined, white flour and sugar, refined salt, processed and deep-fried foods, dairy, coffee, soda.
High-nutrition intake through juicing.
Exercise and get sunshine 20-30 minutes/day.
Aerate your lungs to oxygenate your body.
Lower stress and emotional distress.
Take time for rest, and nightly get 6-8 hours of sleep.
